Its not like the slow group will be going that fast anyway, might be a bit of an ask to keep up with the fast group perhaps![]()
I may have to postpone my attendance untill the next one... still haven't managed to head out into traffic yet, and i'm fair sure my clutch is on the out
Good to meet Maverick this evening, and hopefully i'll see the rest of yas on Saturday...
A highlight had to be him letting me feel the bite on his clutch and be like 'Whoa!' as i'm releasing it and it's STILL not biting, then him tell me i've got it in neutral![]()
Haha, not that I'd be out to give anyone 'the learn', but I'm more concerned about the straights... I've taken it on the motorway and going at 100~110km/h when the ground's flat is close to the redline in top gear, and hardly any more power to accelerate, any sort of incline and the speed drops... *sigh* wish I had a bigger bike...
EDIT: Does anyone else here ride a 125? I don't think I've seen anyone on this forum with one...
The forcast has already been downgraded for saturday from heavy rain to just rain, Satellite images look hopeful, the big stormy crap coming in from Oz appears to be dissapaiting a bit.
Man, if only I had a bike, I would love to go on one of these things. I'm definitely getting a bike within the next week. Or two. Max.![]()
PS. What's a Ginny? I've heard good things...
Ginny = Suzuki GN250 - $3300 new (see Haldanes/Colemans) economic but not the fastest tool in the shed. Accesible entry to motorcycling but you will outgrow it quickly.
In fact, post what your budget is and what you want to get from the bike and I'll let you know what I think (I've recently been through the whole "hmmm what bike shall I buy?" phase!)
In space, no one can smell your fart.
Sweet!
I've got a 7.5K cap - including helmet, jacket & gloves.
I'm looking for something new-ish... fast-ish... reliable-ish and something that I will grow into as a rider. I may have this bike for a while so I want one that has some - "capacity."
At the moment, I'm waiting for the Kawasaki GPX250R to come in so I can see it in action, take it for a test. Yse it's 80s but apart from that, it seems to have everything I'm looking for.
I DID actually have a look at the GN250 but I decided to forgo that as It doesn't have the "capacity" that I am looking for.
I read and read and looked about and I am still of two minds about the Hyosung series.
