Blah A bike-less KB'ers plead for information and assistance

Please Sir/Ma'am, care to spare some info for a down-on-his-luck broadband user? (* cap in hand)

Someone recently posted a link to a website that offers content I have never been able to access, due to being on Diel-up. Now that I have broadband (proper broadband), the novelty is still new to me. Can anyone post more links of a similar nature? What I mean is, sites offering high bandwith reliant content, i.e. videos, streaming media, etc...

The site I referred to is:
    FileCabi.Net

I'm not after any one type of content in particular, however if you know of sites that only offer one type, I'm still interested. I figure after internet searches, I may as well ask my KB friends.

    Cheers,
    Dave.

any sites listing large amounts of links per day will do, phun.org etc, can't remember the specific sources, too many.

If the bastards won't give you a download link, steal the location from the source code Some are smart even at that point tho

Believe me with a good connection it's a totally different experience. You can watch the entire races live along with the inbetween filler. Not to mention practices, quals.

Then there's one off events to keep you eyes out for. It was great watching the Suzuka 8 hour race from start to finish in good res (thanks again Brian d'marge).

    Cheers

Thanks for those links everyone, I'll check those out this weekend

Oh, touching on something Gremlin said:

I detest the stingy bastards who make it difficult (for some) to download/keep the vidos. On FileCabi.Net for example, the video plays in your browser window, which is fine for pure immediate entertainment, but there are the odd occasion where you want to keep the video permanently. Luckily there are two "fixes" for this:
    1) Get file from source code (cheers Gremlin)
    2) And my favourite - Keep the "Temporary Internet Files" folder open, with the sort action set to the file size field, in decending order of size (big to small). That way, all the videos downloaded and played in the web page you're watching, are sent right to the top of the temp files list

    C:\Documents And Settings\*UserName*\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\

Obviously *UserName* is your username in Win XP, like Administrator or DirkDiggler

    Cheers

StoneChucker, the 2nd idea depends on your browser... for IE, it stores files there, for example, youtube are flash, and if you don't use IE, its somewhere else (depends on browser, your settings etc)... which is a freaking pain...

just a heads up... and youtube are some of the harder files to get... they provide useless links, and you have to use IE, to get the file into the temp files.

edit: mmm, must look into this keepvid thingie...
