I saw someone stopped (with a pillion?) but I didn't think I'd be any use at all cos I know nothing about bikes - sorry It was just after that rail road crossing right?

But was that Saturday or Sunday? I rode up there on Saturday.

Managed to get out today, even though the old pink thing is still waiting to receive Dr Ricky's attention! Hopped on the partners 400 and we did the old Whitford-Maraitei-Clevedon-Ararimu-Bombay and home thing. And there is a god! After coaxing the little 400 up to 165, with plenty of revs left, on the long straight after Ararimu up to the Bombay/Mangtawhiri Rd, notice a patrol car parked at the end of the straght!Stop at the intersection and wait for the lights to flash, visions of walking for the next 3 months flashing before my eyes....he casually looks up, as though he had been reading a book, glares at me, shakes his head and goes back to reading his book, or whatever!!!!
I count to 10 and then gingerly fuck off towards Bombay....waiting for the car to pull out....but no! Live to speed another day!
My partner, whacking me on the back and yelling was telling me there was a cop ahead - I thought she was just getting annoyed at me, winding her little bike out
    Phew.

I don't like riding/driving the Akatarawa road - too narrow and too many wankers in cars and 4WD's who can't drive, cutting corners.

shit, I must be getting old......

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.
