Ignore long range weather forecast - my mantra: The weather will be fantasic this weekend. I have a full weekend of riding planned, the wet weather gear will be packed tho. I'm on a mission!

Hmm just an observation. I thought you stated the ride wasn't for soft cocks.

Haven't recieved a copy of the route yet, sent a PM with my e-mail addy last night. May do it in reverse with cowboyz, as he works (well otherwise detained on meeting at the inital start time) Sunday morning and met up with the rest of ya in the arvo hopefully.

Edit- I hope it turns out to be a good one for everyone who participates btw.

Bro, have you ever piloted 170 HP hyper bikes on wet roads, it requires far to much concentration to have fun, I just rode in the pissing rain from Wellington to Shannon before it stopped, lt was wheelspining even at running in speeds
Having said that, I'll still do the ride if it's only showers.

I just checked the weather and it looks A LOT better than before
It is sposed to be fine now.
I may have a plan B ride on the Manawatu side of the gorge just in case though.
Check this thread on Sunday after 8am.

Wellie crew, looks at this stage best to come up state highway one.

I guess thats one reason I ride a 30 yo bike.

I understand what you are saying. The road through to Wimbolton certainly has a few slippery bits and moss/lichen can be an issue this time of year also.

Thats why my "real" road bike is my 17 year old ZXR750, at least it has the decency to let me know when I'm accelerating! The 10 can climb 20 kmh with no discernible change in exhaust note!

bugger aye. The 10 is certainly an agressive bike. I want one in my heart but my head just keeps telling me it is not a good idea.

I was waiting for you to mention the last ride where you managed to stay upright the entire ride.. unlike a couple of others. I best not tease you too much.. you might leave me behind on your "250"

Golf is done. played like crap. end of club champs for me. might as well go do the riding thing. see you in dannevirke

    Bloody good run

Enjoyed the company, pies, and even managed to show a CBR600 a clean pair of heels on Gerty So she can't be in too bad a shape tuning wise. Thinking about it, it may just have been because of the bad case of flatulance.

Sugilites and Uncle B's bikes were awesome. Certainly bought me up to date with current m/c performance. Nice blokes. Had 4 riders from Dannivirke along who asked about KB. Unfortunately BMW lost it early in the ride. I hope you feel better soon gal. Sugilite is going to transport her and the Bandit by van down to Wellywood tonight. So if anyone is at hand that can help fix it, mainly cosmetic by the looks.

Would have thought more of the welly crowd where going to turn up. Oh well, maybe next time.

Had Gary there and guess what? Yes it rained.

Topped off with a quiet meander down what can only be describe as a country lane with a smidgin of gravel. Very nice peice of road and no I'm not sharing it's location.

Not a bad day. Pace was alot higher than i would tour at.Good for a change to see what my bike can do. Not for me on a weekly basis Im afriad. I prefer the touring pace. (Cruiser rider in the closet) .Always entertaining to see the big boys out to play. Even if it is for only a few seconds at a time.

Excellent hidden road somewhere up there (not sure if I could find that agaiin)
