Retraining options should have been part of your redundancy package, did you ask?
How long ago were you made redundant? is it too late too check, if not do it, you may have been short changed through ignorance of your work conditions of employment. John.

I am not ignorant by any means, when a company closes down and in your contract it states in the redundancy clause there is no redundancy payable and termination is one weeks notice. It doesnt leave you with many options, they gave me my letter and told me to piss off. they didnt pay me my holiday pay but I sorted that out today and a refrence.

I hope you didn't take the ignorant comment as personal, I was just drawing your attention to a possibility.

It sounds like you signed out of redundancy options at the time you signed on, didn't think they could do that. Cheers John.

Nah I didnt take offence dude, I asked them to chage it and the 1 week notice factor, but they wouldnt have a bar of it and since the company has been aroudn for a while and im alwase real busy I though what the hey. Turns out I was wrong, the only bad thing about losing my job is I only walked 257steps to work.

Did you look at many others? campare them at all? or just choose the wintec one?
