Success at last BMW's Ins. Claim

I have one hormonal day a month it is always a Thursday, today is it. On these days I try to communicate as little as possible with people, cos when I open my mouth I never know what is going to come out - the brain goes completely awol. Hence I was quite hesitant to ring and hassle the insurance company - anyway I did ring them to check on progress and was told that they would pay out insurance on my bike. (So why hadn't I received a call?)

I was on the old policy and their lawyers advised them that there was no way they could not pay out! So we are in the process of negotiating that. I did ask my case manager had he noticed that I worked for a law firm, he laughed nervously and said Umm yes I did.

The new policy document now states that upon renewal each year you have to advise them of any ticket offences. Sounds like if you get any ticket offences they will not renew your policy the next year! or will probably put up the premiums!

So now I'm bargaining to buy back my bike!! They were not too forthcoming at first, but my assertiveness course that I attended yesterday came in handy. Honed my negotiation skills as well - thank god I had read the policy document right through cos one of my bargaining tools was that I had saved them $500 in towage fees - i.e. they didn't have to tow the bike to the nearest shop nor did they have to pay for it to come back to me - I would pick it up!

I have been amazed that I have been so diplomatic and calm throughout my conversations with Swann. Thank God I could rant and rave here. I have appreciated all your comments and support.

Going to dye my hair tonite to cover all the grey that has accumulated in the last week! I ended up in hospital Tuesday nite with asthma and no doubt stress! They let me go at 3.45am - buggers just didn't want to feed me breakfast I reckon!!

Yeeha I may have wheels again soon.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I have always loved the saying (almost fact) Why does a man prefer to deal with a terroist than a woman with PMT? You can negotiate with a terrorist.
