As disgusting as it is, they're better dead than being baited or having a drain inserted in their gall bladder.

The real skill is in skinning the bear afterwards, taking care to get the hide off with feet and head intact. what good is a hearth rug without the paws?

Shooting a bear whether awake or not doesn't require much skill.

Shooting them while half asleep is pretty astastic.

I dont have a problem with animals being hunted, even "endangered" animals so long as its done in small numbers, and the profits are put into ensuring there are more of that animal to shoot in the future.

I've also always wanted some blue whale penis bar stools like aristotle onasis had on his yacht.. I thought that was just classy.

You seem aggrieved. Would you prefer me to whip it out and show you?

Did the news coverage mention whether there were enough bears to go around? One would hope it wasn't a conservation issue into the bargain.

What are these 'hunters' doing with the bears' remains? Trophies, presumably? Sad, unprincipled gits, the lot of them. Fat pasty losers. Probably pedophiles, too. Protestants, even.

Steve Irwin would have ripped them all a new one. Requescat in pace, to him and the bears.

I did catch that clip on TV and was pissed off. People who don't know any better will lump all hunters in with those turkeys. (Just as some members of the public think anybody on a motorcycle is a gang member.)

The usual term for any form of hunting as one sided as that is "decadent", which pretty much sums it up.

In the argument to hunt or not to hunt, the vegetarians hold the moral high ground. If you eat meat but are against hunting you stand to be accused of just letting someone else do your dirty work.

I didn't spend 2 million years climbing to the top of the food chain to eat fucking vegetables.

A battered vegetarian on a stick will do nicely thanks.

Oh, arr. My three-year-old son had his inaugural .22 target shooting session, followed by helping me butcher a goat or three, last Sunday afternoon. He was fascinated. Human aversion to killing things and seeing the runny bits come out is entirely the result of social conditioning. It's pointless, futile and usually hypocritical.

I respect vegetarians, of course, but just between us, you know, on the quiet-like in case any of them are listening... they always seem so limp, don't they?

    Man need MEAT.
