    Coromandel or Bust

I've put the even to the Calender but incase you haven't spotted it yet, here it is!

Problem: Complete lack of fanging for the last month
Symptoms: Constant moaning to girlfriend and repeated cleaning of bike despite it being clean
Solution: Ride the Coromandel loop this Saturday via Hunua
Location: Meet at Clevedon Shell station at 9:10, Leaving at 9:30

All welcome, probably stopping at Whitianga or Coromandel for lunch.

p.s. I don't care if no one else shows, but I'm goin!

    Like I said, all welcome!

Probably going hunua-kopu-tairua-whitianga-coromandel-thames-then either miranda/kaiaua or hunua again.

I'll have to refill at least every 200 ks so we can probably stop at the Kopu gas station (mobil) just after the bridge on the intersection for a break. Sound like a good spot to meet? I'd guess it'll take an hour to get there from Clevedon so we might see ya there about 10:30?

My number is 021-537 473 if you need to get hold of me on the day

So long as its not pissing down.... I may just have to break out the rain suit and hope for nicer weather on the coromandel if it is. Unless its hosing... then I'll sit at home and cry!

Yeah, pity about the weather. Was thinking of going but it would be much more fun on a sunny day. I've never been to the Coromandel (except once when I had to walk back in the pink nightie and army boots ) so was looking forward to going. We should definitely organize it on another day, soon.

What weather? So it was a bit damp in Auckland today - tomorrow is another day. I predict a brilliant day on the Coromandel, with consequent wailing and gnashing of teeth from those who foolishly believe the weatherman and remain in bed...

And they call me a fair weather biker!

At least I get up in the morning to check the weather before going or going back to bed!

I never believe the forecasts. Did any one show up. I bet the weather was just fine. I'm going tomorrow if Sunday is like today, couldn't make it today.

I would have been pretty pissed off if I'd have shown up and the rest of you didn't show due to yesterday's weather.

Why not try the two wheels club ride tommorrow, good group of guys.

Told ya so. Brilliant - I had my waterproof gear with me but it stayed in my back pack all day. Not a drop of rain, a bit of cloud in the morning but the afternoon was perfect. Except for coming back from Thames at 4:30 straight into the setting sun - a bit tricky with a dirty visor.
Thanks for organising the ride, Coldkiwi - I had a great day.
