Had an awesome time, from meeting new people to riding many different styles of road.

She was cute, and even managed to smile politely and not sneer when everyone ordered the cheapest items on the snack menu and hardly any drinks and she realized there was no chance of a decent tip. That's class.

yeah, great fun!

I'm really gonna have to get back there and do the whole loop this time (with a full arvo up my sleeve) so I don't root myself trying to get back to Auckland.

For the record I was 15 minutes late getting in to Howick (2 hours from Whitianga with 5mins for gas and a much needed stretch!) Don't think I've ridden that quick for that long ever!

Two highlights for me:

1) sitting behind a new 350Z on the Kopu Hikuai road after he'd overtaken a legacy and van etc waiting for him to move out of the way (at 160k!)

2) catching up to and passing a commodore on the miranda straights. He obviously thought he was hot stuff because he was in the middle of the road going well over 140kph. I don't think he liked me flashing my lights to tell him to move over so I could blast past!!! hehehehe (would've loved to see his face)
