i got my rg done for $334 + sand paper and tape. there were 12 pieces to paint, i got a 50/50 mix of ford bluprint and silver pearl. I bought and painted the primer myself but the pearl need to be sparyed in a booth so got that done at the paint shop ($288 gst inclusive). I was very very happy wiht the out come, and compaired to the prices ive seen it was pretty cheep if you have a gun id recomend spraying the primer, leave if for a few days come back and sand down quite hard then spray again (well thats what i did and it came out sweet)

theres a thread in the bike mechanics about this.... cheapest to do the sanding and priming (if you can) yourself... then have the pro's put the actual paint on

Correct... he quoted me $500 for one colour (black) and $600 for two colours (black and blue... blue is only a tiny bit)... but when it comes to two colours you need to send him the whole bike not just the fairings and tank...
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

Your best bet is to put all your bits in the car and visit a few of your local paint shops. The prices comes done to how much damage there is (gravel rash, stone chips etc). You can't price things over the phone probly. It could be any where between $400 to $1500 or more.
