luke has a standered rg50... it starts just by looking at it. it is not the fastest thing out there, but it has slicks and it is a great little bike.. he will learn heaps on it.. but now after the BOB, he wants a bigger engine....

    Just woke up.

    Simple maths
Area = pi D squared over 4 (or 2 pi R squ same thing)

    So 24 squared x3.14 div 4 = 452mm

    17 = 226.8 two of = 453 so even 17s are a tickle over but so close.

No one really cares on a slow bike, but if a bike got competitive there would need to be a change.

Why lower a RG50? --Hey a million Boy racers can’t be wrong can they?

Actually I lowered my RG about 2 inches. No point towering up there in the wind, first rule of aerodynamics is less frontal area (ok not the 1st, but an easy one). Also makes the forks a shorter length between the clamps & the axle so less flexing. But I did have to jig around with the shock mount concept to lower the rear.

AJT the longer cct makes the RG seem a lot slower than our usual ccts. Tell him he’ll make it up on the other tracks.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

[QUOTE=RG100!!;762096]Ivan used to have one. Its a real goer and its stock. The carbs are 1mm over the legal limit standard. He opened his trap and told everyone about the size. So he sold it. Now AJTurbo races it. the bike is still the same as it was when it left ivans house. But no one cares about the 1mm oversised carbs.

Just to clear something as well I didnt open my trap about the sizes I started a new thread saying I had it then someone said about carb sizes then everyone started on about me not being able to race it but then I needed some cash to pay the last of my DR off and dad brought it off me and told me to sell it on here because he didnt want it.

    All good dude,

Just remember by lowering just the rear, it will slow the steering down, I think

And yea, that RS shock makes it a awesome bike!

General rule is bike arse end in the air as much as possible.

Make sure the springs aren’t too soft. Lower the front & keep lowering it until the front feels too low.

When you've gone too far at the front it feels like the bars are still steering while you are leant over, then adjust back just a tickle. On a bigger bike this will be too extreme & steering damper may be reqd.

Lower the rear if possible, then lower the front some more & so on.

Obviously care to be sure that the suspension won’t bottom out when you lower it & if ground clearance is a problem you will need to raise it up or move what scrapes.

That's the one that came to you with the barrel off after winning the GP. Wonder what size the other barrel was.

    The RG50 saved Buckets
The 100, 125 145cc rules Speedpro, Chris Picket and myself penned and submitted (by Speedpro) that morphed into the current set of rules saved Buckets
The now legal FXR150 saved Buckets

Mine made a hair under 11hp on a dynojet 100
Darren Gossamers bike was a rocket compared to it and this was in the mid 90's.
