AK last night

Had to go into Auckland last night to drop some people off at the air port.
This was 03.00am.
On the way through Manukau we see the flashing lights and theres a cop bundling a young guy into the back of a patrol car.His car,s left sitting on a traffic island,it's an old mazda shit box that just screams "pick me I'm a dick head".Cool that's him not on my road.Heading up the short stretch of motoway between Manukau and Onehunga we see a late model falcon lose it in a straight line an smack into the concrete barrier wall.Lots of smoke and car bits laying about but he's on the other side of the wall and two other cars stop for him.He had to be pissed to do that so fuck him anyway,another one out of the way.Drop the kids off and head for home.Just before the Takanini off ramp a cop car with lights flashing goes past fast.I pick his speed at about 180km,must be after somebody right.Wrong,I pull into the Autobarn and there he is parked at the gas station.There's a guy in the drivers seat and another inside.Being a nosey prick I walk over to the driver and ask him if that was him I saw a moment ago.His reply,,"What's it to you if it was??".I walk back to my car and write down his reg'o and the badge # on his shoulder.I pay for my gas an leave but notice I now have an escort.
He tail gates me to the Dury turn off and pulls up next to me as I stop before turning right towards Puke'.I look over at him and both he and his partner are giving me the evils big time.Fuck them anyway,I turn right and at the same time can't help but notice he makes an illegal left turn and floors at back toward Dury.Other than telling a few mates about my night out I really can't be bothered worrying about a couple of cops who shouldn't be,,,But hey it's an interesting place this Ak huh.

can't condone the dickhead cop behaviour, but it's not unheard of to be heading to a job, burglars on, service station panic alarm, false 111 call etc, when the first car there finds out its a big nothing, and you get stood down. i can't remember the number of times i've blue lighted it across town, only to be stood down 1/2km from the scene.....grr

Yeah I figured that,I also figured I might of been seen as just another smart ass at 0400am.I have a couple of good mates that are cops and I've also been the typical smart ass in the past,so after thinking about things a bit I,m not to worryed about it now.Stuff it, I get worse looks from the Mrs.
