I presume when the Wednesday rides start the Sunday rides can still continue as I'm only a weekend biker you know?
    Cheers

I think they did last year Merv. There wasn't a thread as such but it seemed that just about on any Sunday we were at Rimutex.

That's sort of why I was suggesting we ask for the current Sunday thread to be generically renamed so that we have a thread where everyone could go for their Sunday-Fix - which tend to be longer touring type rides than we can do on a Wednesday.

I was quite surprised at the Poll's 10am result as I like my Sunday lie-in and I was expecting that everyone else did too. I was hoping for 11 so maybe 10.30 will be the compromise.

I'm with Wasp. You can get SO much more riding in if you get up and get on with it.

I third that. Promoting good neighbourly relations by making sure they wake up in time for church has got to be good.

yep - so nice at the taka summit at 0700hrs, and like all have said, no traffic on the way up. Guess we had better vote this time around for an earlier start time folks.
Sunday lie-ins are for when its pissing down with rain and no scheduled rides.
Hopefully have a bigger bike by then too.

You don't need to vote to go for a ride!

Sounds like we'll end up with two groups then, the early and late, because I'm one of the late types by Sunday sick of getting up early for work all week. My e-riders mates do the early thing in summer so I don't ride with them much, hence happily joining the late KB crew. You could chase me back to Ulysses and their 10am starts I suppose.

So nothing wrong with an 8am group and a 10.30 group there's enough of us.
    Cheers

Its a seasonal thing surely - in the winter with less daylight and lower temps it makes sense to start later. In the main summer season an early start means more riding time.

And I suppose it depends on whether you want to go for a midday cruise or spend the day getting some K's on the clock
Experience......something you get just after you needed it

And then there are the stragglers like Mrs H and me who usually sashay on through Rimutex between 10:30am and 11:30am. We're happy to pick up lost souls who enjoy coffee and a bit of a yack about life, the universe and anything.

I can see both sides of this one. Although , as I get up at 4.45am 5 days a week, I would like to sleep in on a sunday, and take in a casual ride around 10.30am, stop off for lunch etc. etc.

Anyway thats my dimes worth,so lets see how many we get on either view..
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.
