Went over the Takas on saturday. Unfortunately in the cage, but they did appear to be greatly improved over what I heard. Most of the gravel on the feathers side appeared to have been "brushed" off the side of the road - there was shitloads of it though.
I can't come tonight but I'm sure it's going ahead. Weather like this it'll be a corker too.

Was a Great night guys! I hated the bit where we put our gear on in a warm clear evening in the Rapa to volentarily drive over the hill into the darkness of rain.

Great ride, I definitely have to get new tyres!! First time for riding in such a big group - so not use to it. Been riding on my own too long. I had to stop on the takas and take my glasses off and got a hell of a shock when other riders stopped and asked whether I was ok. Thx for your concern, I'm just not use to that.
I really needed to get out on the bike and it was quite a last minute decision to go. Enjoyed myself and meeting other kb folk.

another good wednesday ride. Was nice to go over the taka's with some daylight as my last crossing was after 10pm on Sunday.
