Shitiest movie ever *Day after tomorrow*

Ok i just HAVE to have this bitch, I went to see "Day after tomorrow" last night and let me tell you it was the most stupides dumbest cheeziest movie ever! I have never ever walked out of a movie half way through. I didnt in this case either, but i was soooooooooo close.

I thought that the movie would be like the DAY AFTER tomorrow as in how ppl would survive the ice age or whatever. But it was just a bloody dissater movie... how borina and unoriginal..

PPl save your money and DO NOT go and see it...

Have to agree with ya Menace. It has all the hallmarks of an American peice of trash.

The Hero who against all odds goes to rescue his son.

The son who gets the girl & the medecine she needs despite the wolves.

The dog! There's always a dog!

    The comic relief.

And the classic shot that kinda summed it all up was the frozen American flag.

Also noticed lotsa "God bless you & God be with you." (Those evangelicals are getting in everywhere!)
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

On a brighter note, Shrek 2 was lots of fun, and I'm REALLY looking forward to Before Sunset.

The ability to smugly avoid movies like The Day After Tomorrow is why I read the critics.

What did you expect, it was Obviously going to be a trash disaster type movie, did you think it would be on the same level as LOTR or something.
I loved it thought it was great, the special effects were cool.
Dont take it so seriously it was never going to be a award winner was it.
Maybe pick ya movies a bit better

Yeah you have to be careful hyping yourself up for a movie these days as 9/10 it will end in disappointment. I knew hardly anything about this movie before I went to see it and thats how I prefer it. Yeah the plot was crap but I enjoyed the special effects and the US ownage (cept the crap cg wolves) - nothing great but some cool stuff I hadn't seen before.

Not really related, but if you ever get the feeling that Starship Troopers 2 is a good movie, um, it's not.

    I want my $8 back.

Yes this is true - I didn't pay when I went so I was lucky in that regard. The movies generally for me are a good escape from reality.

I actually didn't think it was too bad (much to the shagrin of CSL, Jimbo, FizzerMan, Old R etc on Thursday nite)......A good bit of humour really....

Mind you I also thought the third LOTR was a disappointment - too long, drawn out, and a limited story line - so what do I know

I can highly recomend Monster Katwyn, quite disturbing but certainly made me think about the whole issue of what may bring a person to the brink of performing such violent acts. I actually posted something about it on here when I saw it.

I went with a couple of Uni mate & we all needed a drink afterwards! Not light hearted at all. Charlize Theron is amazing as the main character.

Found it if ya wanna have a read http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=2580
