Racing What?

I am coming over to the beutiful New Zealand around July / August timeish in and around the Auckland area and basically I want to take racing up .....again, now being new to the area I would like to know when the season starts and ends and also which class is the cheapest to run it and which class is the most populas . Now we have an Aprilia factory 04 which if there is a class and there are a reasonable amount of entries, I could prep this for the smiles per miles club? ta

You really want to talk to AMCC if you want to keep it local (Pukekohe)

However VMCC (based in wellington) run events at Manfeild and Taupo. Taupo's not to far from Auckland.

You'd be looking at riding in Clubmans or F1 (Production Superbikes) with the Aprilia. Cost wise - there's probably not too much difference, unless you want to build a championship winning bike.

There's some info on getting starting in racing in NZ here and more in the sticky threads in this forum.

As for seasons - well we race year round. AMCC/PMCC series usually in spring/autumn. Nationals/Battle of Streets in Summer and VMCC Series over the Winter.

Not on your own!! do you have someone out there that does the spares and race fairing stuff? I do not think it would br that competative amongst the jap stuff but it would be fun
