Not saying that.... Just saying what I know. The guy who reckons it was his has had a good look at the piccies and there are a few scratches on the crank case the top of the fairing by the mirror etc that are identical to his old bike, also the disc and drum look new and they were munted when the truck backed over it. The only reason this bike was written off was because it was going to cost too much to repair not because it was mechanically "unsound". If the number plate is 88WGL then it is his old bike, which incidentally was re-registered just recently...

yeah its his and i spent some$$$ getting it going, new mirrors, new disc, sorted his starting problems, new plugs, and someone had dicked with the fuel pump, had dodgy hose, swaped the battery.
so what if he paid 4 grand for it! good on him.
its worth what someone is going to pay for it., does he want to buy it back? i bet he got a good payout on it.? i got with live plates so not it hasnt been re reged. it was on hold.

Hey like I said the bikes sweet. My mate at work who also happens to be a KBer saw it and recognized it. Thats why I asked what work you had done on it as it had quite a bit wrong with it at the time. So yeah $4000 is a decent price. Also sorry if you got offended but that was what had happened to the bike. And no he doesnt want to buy it he's gone and bought a gay scooter. He only got paid out a couple of grand and thats why he bought a scooter...

he should have told the insurance to stick it their arse!! i would have kept it and fixed it if i were him, its a sweet little bike, I didnt like it to start with, its a bit small for me, foot pegs and seat, (im 6 foot 3) but after blating around on it for a few days it puts a smile on my face every time! so not like my big RF900, rf would kick its ass but the little cbr is so sweet in the corners and in traffic. but i cant see me keeping it, not with 3 other bikes!

Yep, a scooter. Though all he ever does is commute a shortish distance everyday anyway. I give him lots of shit about it! It is a neat little bike, I wouldnt have minded it myself but its the wrong time atm damnit! Good luck with the sale dude.
