As someone said, the Chinese will get better. When I was a kid people used to say Jap Crap. Dont really hear that now regarding Japanese quality.
    Not quite,what i said.
Yes the honda`s and Suzuki`s they make, are Japanese factories.
And yes China, one day will,be a huge Quality ,M/cycle manufacturer. But if i was getting,a reproduction rear guard for my 60`s japanese bike "at present"i`d personally get one "made in" Thailand, over a chinese one(gn chrome is shit).you my see it differently,Good On Ya!

At the moment I wouldnt touch any motorbike made in China. I bought a minimoto as a pit bike etc, but it didnt last long enough for that. It always had problems with it, it was missing engine mounts because they didnt line up! and constantly leaked gas etc thats how roughly made it was. Im sure in a few years they'l be ok but at the moment theyre crap

I think the japanese bikes of the 60's were a lot better than the chinease bikes of today.

The japanese bikes of the 60's were only four manufacturers, and they designed their own bikes, and had fast race bikes.

The chinese bikes these days have no brand are made by a million different manufacturers and they copy the designs. They don't race them either, and people wonder why people don't take them seriously.

The only recognisable manufacturer out of china is lifan, and I'm sure they'll get much better.

    Funny you should say that.
After speaking with a couple of importers of quality Pitbikes, (they go to the factory and select parts, motors etc)they told me that all the bottom ends of the motors come out of the Lifan factory and the rest of the bike is made in other factories.
Thats why todays Pitbikes have got good motors, but
the cheaper ones dont have such good quality frame, wheel etc components and are put together real fast.Hense the mistakes. They dont fair well with an experienced rider thrashing them. Great for kids to learn on though.
We have had chinese pocketbikes and a Pitbike and we know to pull the cheapie ones apart and rebuild em.
Haven't any problem with the more expensive ones though.
We had thrashed the Pitty as a minimotard and on the dirt and it never missed a beat.
