Yeah, got a bit excited , first time i have been for a ride with more than two bikes in a group, I doubled back, got as far as Paerata, then realised that I had no idea which way the group went, so went home. Looking forward to next week, I'll be good this time. By the way, my name is Clinton, as in I did not have sexual relations with that woman!
    See you all next week.

I'm surprised we had so much drama on a simple ride, Wolfrider going walkabout & Gummie wishing he could get round that corner.
The $250.00 was won on the night.

Next week we are back to free hotdogs & cheap beer

You are not the first one to be lost within the frist few minutes and I'm sure you won't be the last, while every effort is made to keep the group together, on occassions (particularly when it's dark) we do lose people , normally only till they catch up at the next major intersection , where everyone else is waiting.
Look forward to next weeks ride, hopefully the weather gods will be smiling then too.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

As we left pub we lost tail end Jafar cos he is going to Waiuku and I was last, Gummie was just on front of me but rest of you was getting ahead so I decide get pass and join main group. As we got to that T intersection I did check my mirror and not seeing your lights I just assume you have gone home other way and you know your way around . I feel responsible for leaving you behind in cold knight I should gone beck and check on you and I'm glad you make home cos it could be much worse "sorry man". The truth is that this ride is unorganized and with out Jafar and Caseye it is just mess , specially for new ones to ride and that will put them off. Good thing to do as we leave pub is to talk to some one that leave close to you or on way to your home and let him know you coming along on ride home . I'm still learning on my mistakesonce again sorry Gummie and I hope you recover OK

For new once to this ride , with out you and Coseye, this ride is just mess with out communication . If is just as regulars it is OK but if new rider come along we need to talk to them and let them know what is happening. If not that will put them off from coming again.

    Thank DIN
But you arent to blame for the road conditions and the fact that a 250 will never be able to keep up ( i was in the process of looking at a bigger bike but will now havr to wait), i obviously took a different line to others and got a lose bit of road. bike is going to shop.
i had sore wrist on the night but still have a bruised ego (and i cant repeat on here what there wife said)
but rest assured you have not seen the last of me
If you cant fix it with a hammer, Its an electrical problem.

Don't worry there are heaps of young guys on this site that regularly harpoon their 250 Hobags so I'm sure you'll pick-up some parts.

I agree , we do need to get more organized in some of the things we do. I will give it some thought & we can discuss it on Thursday.

Sorry to hear about your off mate, How long until your back on the road ?
A 250 will keep up !! Don't know why you feel that it won't, I'm usually @ the back & will make sure you get to where we are going on the night.
unless of course you are using that as an excuse to get a bigger bike, if so then
    No it won't keep up

    Keep up
I had my throtle wide open and my emission control unplugged and the lights in front of me only got dimmer (must of been in reverse). I know i can keep up because one thing you guys do is wait at intersections for the likes of us.

Since i wont be there on for the next few rides, can i suggest a rough guide of where the ride may head. In my first couple of rides there was a suggestion of where we would go. This week there was none except for the ones that were there last week.

    Yea i am/was looking at a new bike. CBR1100XX
My mum was lucky enough to win a day ride on a harley, she gave it to my wife which was cool cause then i could tag along. Turns out shes into riding and cant wait till i get my full.

Bike will go to shop on monday dont kow how long till its fixed

If the bike you like is at the dealership where your bike is getting repaired they might take your insured wreck as a trade on a new bike. Would pay to ask.

Usually east or south, but we take about 2 hours to do the ride and we usually end up at in a small out of the way eatery or similar, for a yarn. Before all heading off in our various directions

Hey, Here's an idea! Let's have a separate discussion thread and we can ride the same route every week, use the pointer system, and nobody is to pass jafar! HOW'S THAT!
