Not wanting to divert you or anything (as the roads are a lot of fun down south). But there is also a thursday ride "north" as well which is porbably a lot closer.

Ok thanks for that Hiss, i read the discussion forum and to be honest it sounds a bit vague, people not going or not knowing for sure if they will turn up, I dont know how many peeps you normally have at your ride nights, it seems a more deffo arrangement at the south ride so unless i hear from you and your group otherwise I will stick with my original plan.
    Raincheck for another time though?
    Regards,
    Chaos.

To be honest I've only done a couple so far, but it sounds like there's always at least 4-5 people (occasionally only 1 or 2, but rarely). Plenty of Summer left so mayas well go on as many different rides as possible.... I think the Southies have a sat ride , and we have a Sunday ride. Anyway, no dramas

And Caseye's just trying to steer you away from us far friendlier northerners

Well, we got to The BP at Papakura for 18:04, worried that we were a tad late met one solitary biker called Martin, AKA Jafar, we waited til gone ten to seven only for no-one else to turn up, so we ventured out on a twistie road for about 40 kms, stopping twice, once to check out a view and again to stop a local bike haunt that looked from the outside like a western type saloon.
We then took off again down Pioneer Road til we got to the The Village Bar & Kitchen where there was a Hot Rod evening.
We stayed there and chatted for about an hour before heading back and unfortunately getting absolutely soaked while riding through some major rain showers and hail storms, ( that'll teach me to clean my f**king Blade i thought ).
So ! So much for me turning up to the South Auckland ride as it seemed that it was more planned and that more people would be turning up rather than going to the North Auckland night, but at least the evening was saved by the thoroughly nice bloke ( Martin ) that we met, even if the night ended up being a total washout.
    Thanks mate.
    Cheers.

We are a pretty relaxed lot southside...

I have only manged to do one Sth Auck Thursday nite ride but I thoroughly enjoyed it, so cool having all these great roads literally RIGHT THERE!

FYI, I don't really do New Years resolutions but if I was gonna do one it would be to make an effort to do more Thursday nite rides.
    See you guys soon

Jafar definitely knows a few good roads to the pub.

About time all these part-timers (myself included these days) started showing up with some more regularity. Soon peoples, soon.

Hey Karl , thanks for coming along, was a nice ride up into the hills & to the pub to have a perv @ the hot rods on display

As for the rest of you, where were you?? an excellent night for a ride, nice twisty back roads, lots of scenery, good company.

Was Coronation Street really that good?

This was the first ride I have been able to get to for months, work commitments have kept me away. Pity that apathy seems to have taken hold of the ride, it is only as good as we make it people.

My excuse was that I'm poor and still in holiday mode. And that I had a job trial this morning and had to be up nice and early for that. Maybe next week.

    So very true

Do we have to organise another ride to a topless bar to get more along ??
