Looking at pics I definitely got the raw end of the deal.
i gotta earn more moolah to pay for mbike and gear

should be no excuses for me next week as we breakup earlier in the day.

been thinking might go for a ride to Te Kuiti over the weekend to drop off and pickup some parts for work.
weather and availability dependant. Saturday arvo or Sunday. Unless customer has organised something else.
    Hoping the weather holds.

Was a good ride, if I do say so myself. I being the leader for the night, plan the Muddy via Kaiaua. Off at Drury, back road through to Ararimu Rd - Paparimu Rd - Hunua Rd - Clevedon through to Kaiaua one stop for the photos along the coast. Kaiaua Rd back to Mercer, and the Muddy for a beer and a bowl of hot chips.

One area to keep in mind 'Lots of drivers cutting corners on these 2 roads'

not just the edge, the whole lane on the wrong side, around completely blind corners and a LOT

I know from several years of experience driving those 2 roads.

You should have seen the panic when they met me coming the other way.

I often also drove behind these dickheads, they thought they were going fast - useless.
I had a much less powerful vehicle, could keep up and stay on the correct side of the lane, even avoid oncoming dickheads

These roads are the ones to watch

There are some shady 'wet' corners even in summer the grass/moss grows here, and the occasional road slump can upset a bike too.

nice ride though, must be a real bonus having a bigger tank!

off to Otorohanga tomorrow for lunch, bike all loaded up, lights and a few other bits and bobs all fixed.....
might have a deco at viands on the way back
