South Auckland Thursday Night Ride

Top O da Hill was awesome and I picked the finishing order AGAIN.

Just back from 2 months touring western USA. Nothing went according to plan but sometimes that adds to the fun.
Thought about you on top of the hill again with a small drop of envy, but then we spent a day at the air racing in Reno, so I guess we are all square.
Discovered that when you go rough on a big bike, you can get in the shit really easily and that it's amazing what you and the bike can do when you think your life might depend on it.
Found that Wyoming is a lot like central Australia - nobody much lives there. More people in the city of St Louis than in Wyoming. Crossed the Great Divide Basin twice and never saw another soul all day on the first crossing.

Will be in Orks again before Xmas - might have to try and make the visit cover a Thursday evening.

You would just love the Air and Space Museum and the boneyard in Tucson

Good night for it, I'm in the middle of tweaking bars, made some spacers for the risers but had the wrong bolts so going nowhere tonight..... will need to remount the batwing at a new height too... and lift the light and shift the rev counter & speedo.........snowball effect

Went to Tokoroa Friday and back - unfortunately not on the bike, great day for it.

I started to rebuild my brake calipers as the weather wasn't looking flash..... it's not looking so bad now but I doubt I will have the bike together for tonight...... Have a silver rider forever course Sunday at Puke so wanted them done now incase it doesn't go well, be a shame to miss the course because I had issues bleeding the brakes or something

Still 5 places if anyone is keen.....although it would be better being the only bike with the instructor... 1-1 training at the moment :P
