I've tried with FB but not had great experiences. The last group ride I went on ended up with a bad crash - 2 riders in hospital and a very shaken driver who through no fault of her own got hit by 3 motorbikes.

I'm in groups, that share the same interest I have. Motorcycles, Cars, MTB, Photograph, RC cars and drones, to learn or share knowledge, don't get me wrong, there are some dumb fks, in some of these groups, mostly in the Motorcycle and car groups. Never to go beyond online interaction.

Same here about 15ish years ago one guy ended up in the drink around by Marinda. Never went on another KB ride, Nothing to prove on the road LOL

But have ridden with Caseye heaps as a mate. If the others in here ride the same I might get off my ass and come out if anyone gets this going again.
Prob not for the next two Thursdays as I have NZCMRR Summer classic and then Motofest going on at Hampton,

but after that Prob got some time.

Thanks for the creds me ol mate, rather ride with you than many others out there, the SATNR had one real crash that I can remember That guy on his brand spanking new 1000cc XV Yamaha* , ended up in the bushy bank on that hard right hander just before Kaiaua, remember?
Rickster there are numerous race days for bikes down here, you got a safe park/work space and a bed anytime, enjoyed the SATNR meets, always new folk, almost all of our newbies turned into good competent riders and the group just went from strength to strength.
Ah well, that as they say, is how it goes, the memories are great and the mates made are real, an open invite to any SATNR Regular, there is always room here. John boy! yes, that means you too, love ya mate.
* We got him out of his Fred Flintstones inspired muddy bank, pushed his big heavy not so new bike up the vertical 6 foot of loose metal bank, used the ever popular 6 inch long nosed vice grips for his clutch lever and then I left the ride and escorted him home.
His wife read him the riot act, the bike went back to the shop, was repaired and sold on behalf within a week, he never rode again. He'd not ridden for about 12 years and went straight to a big heavy old slug without realising that yes, it was big and comforting to ride, but it didn't go round corners too well without some encouragement and he simply didn't have the skills to do it.
Din dropping his bike over the edge of the tightest corner in the Ramarama deviation doesn't count. We pushed pulled him and his bike out and they both continued on no drama's.
Apart from that, shit loads of guys ans some exceptionally talented young lasses learned their trade out with us, it as a privilege to see everyone doing so well.
