FUCK it all no TNR for a bit.......not 'till I sort the old ducks charging system out, OKish lights off, lights on we are push starting ( Thanks Idleidolidyll for the push start at the 'bayveiw" pub the other day) then missfiring ...it is a right pisser but hey thems the joys of old italian bikes...do I need to say somthing unpleasant here just to keep up ? or maybe piss a bit harder

Nice ride today fellas and felleress! Lots of interesting side events going on - the bike-swap-meet was a new one on me and the lovely gravel patches was a great way to see if someone needed to sandpaper their lovely rides!

Interesting moments when sunstrike hits and you're about to drop into some nice tight corners

Being TEC had advantages this week - since my light had crapped out (barely bright enough to be seen!) I had the lovely Croft guide me in on a wing and prayer, until some old geezer on a loud bike illuminated the whole proceedings (and promptly whizzed by on some tight twisties!)

I ended up riding back to Clevedon pub alone when everyone suddenly pulled off to the right along the way

So I pootled merrily to the pub - thank gawd I've ridden those roads enough to actually say to myself "Straight a bit, will curve left sharp - avoid metal in middle of road, speed up, straight down with a dip, flick left ... see tennis court lights ahead..."

Great to hear the banter of mad biker passions, been missing that! Must admit, drooled over Croft ... her bike that is and marvelled at the pink helmet sprouting ... her helmet that is

Dover, asking for new tyres and getting them? Dizzam! I think you should have asked for more!

Anyhows the pootle home was interesting...slowest I've ever done it (at ... a gadfly 80kph!) found out that my indicators threw out more light than my main beam! So rode with them alternating. Will see to it tomorrow when shops are open!

Had two interesting moments ... one on the straight stretch before the kink leading out towards Takanini, three cars with high beams on ... one double parked it looks like ... when they saw my light, they scattered in all directions ... drug deal methinks?

The other turning into Ardmore, I think the car thought I was a bicycle and started to drift over into the middle of the lanes!

I flashed my indicators left and right, moved to the left until I felt my tyres cresting the loose stuff and still the muppet is in the center of the two lanes!

I let loose with a mighty blast of invective and choice of insults that would make a sailor blush -

must've heard me, he (I assume it's a he) pulls back where he should have been!

Next time, I'll pack a spare bulb!
