Hope that barby was a good one Leathel, we had a bloody good ride with ol Doggy sandwiched between nominated ride leader (Ratbag) an TEC ( my good self) on his newly returned to the road Bandy (Mark, she looks as good as when she was yours mate), no problems a nice quiet ride out to Miranda ,Kaiaua and return via 27, the sallops and John Dory from the PUB were beautiful as always ( never mind the chippy next door ( you know, the world famous one, yeah Na!) Good trip, roads quiet, dry and mostly roadworks free.
One small scrape with a stupid van driver who didn't seem to care that there were bikes in the left lane in front of him as him tried to dive into us,Literally.
I gave him a good old fashioned KB wave, that got him scampering away and, more importantly away from us.
Ride that baby alot in the coming weeks El Doggy boy, you'll love what she can do for you.

Okay another day in the garden and getting stuff sorted.

OMG no wonder things felt squirmy
now
F 39 R 40
maybe a ride tomorrow arvo? To see if difference.
checked both on side and centre stand no real difference.
allowed air to cool, approx 5min checked and reset to same, couple of psi
cause I am using a hand pump
Washing all all of my gear because it stinks, and if I Notice it then it’s bad.
trying Nikwax tech wash for washing, tx direct for outer textile jacket and trouser and soft shell waterproof for liners (most of the smell is here) also washing helmet liner to see if any improvement.
the outers were filthy, tech wash is supposed to remove the dirt and clean the pores....
TX direct wash in for the outers, even though they aren’t waterproof.
softshell washing for liners, never were quite waterproof from the start.
its a 3 season suite. Not suitable for freezing or boiling hot.
helmet liners cleaned fine drip dry.
outers and liners proofed, hanging to dry, reassemble tomorrow arvo, and test tomorrow night

No wonder you were taking your time, it must have felt extremely unpredictable. You WILL notice a huge difference, remember to check them again before going out, the tires may have settled and without working (being ridden) they could have developed air escape routes.
Try them out once you know whats in them, then if you are not happy, replace them mate, sorry but safe than sorry has to be the right way to go.
Could be on for a longish pootle tomorrow, Ratbags keen.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
It made very interesting riding, would pickup every track, line, bump and follow it, dragging me along for the ride, a capable of sudden slides to left and right on the country road on the way back.
i also recognised that famous bump before i got there, so must be looking further down the road now.
Understood, plenty of time to check tomorrow, just in case.
not sure about fuel range, 3+bars for that little pootle.
go early, Miss traffic & heat. Watch out for tar bleed, if your going South.
have a good ride......
mmmmm finished the last Viands Xmas fruit pie today from last trip

Just returned from there.
take Leathels’ route, you will remember our ride to Tauranga...... far less traffic, less stress. And ratbag will enjoy it, I am sure.
will go further next time
was looking for 350-400, will see.
did a maximum of 265 on wee bike, thank goodness down hill into waiouru.
i often think I need a few spirits to ride properly, or do they ride with me?

If you want more fuel range these work well. https://www.nomadtanks.com.au/our-tanks/
I have one on my BMW and it goes into the tank breather. Takes the range over 300ks.
Ok whose coming - to the ride?
