    Can't make it this week.
Apart from the fact that I'm on a live-in course Wed to Friday: I crashed my bike!

Yep, went in too hot, slipped over to a negative camber, hit loose meal and lost the front end. Hit the deck pretty hard but didnt hit anything solid apart from the gravel.

My shoulder and elbow are pretty sore but my leg is worse; deep gravel rash from knee down. Gloves did a damn good job tho.

Leg throbbing, pain killers kicking in........ahhhhh!

Thanks III and Caseye, I'll be at BOTS so might see you then.
And III, much damage to the bike? Sad to hear you bailed.

O shit Mike sorry to hear that , hope you recover well and soon mite. Doesn't sound good but as long as you still with us, I know you are tough nut but in your age recovery from fall like that will take time. Nice how you take responsibility on your self "went in to hot"-. Anyone else inc. me will just blame gravel and road. Give me call if you need anything.
    Take care out there people.
PS: nooooow... not the new bike Mike

That's a bugger, mate. Glad you're still here and in one piece (albeit a lil' bruised and battered). Like Din said, giz a call if you need anything.

I guess it's fair to say I'm a bad boy: I seem to have misled y'all into thinking I crashed my Moto Morini or perhaps the KTM.

In fact I crashed my single speed mountainbike on the Totara Park MTB track!!
I was trying to get 50km under my belt in one ride and got to the 43km mark before losing it on a corner.
The bike is fine, barely a mark on it; I would have been doing no more than 10kph when i dropped it after all.

My pain and suffering is real although perhaps not as bad as if I'd actually crashed one of my motorbikes.
Everything I posted was completely true but instead of thinking 'motorbike' where I wrote 'bike'; y'all should be thinking 'mountainbike'.

My right arm is scuffed up on the elbow and pretty bruised on the shoulder and my right knee is quite badly gravel rashed with one deep 'hole' where flesh used to be pretty much to the bone. My calf muscle below the knee is bloody sore as it was both scuffed and burnt on that limestone shingle they use. I'm limping and in quite a bit of pain but I suspect that now I've revealed the detail of my crash; you'll all be less than sympathetic about any pain I'm in.

Anyway, I'm not gonna be riding this week or this weekend and at present, I can barely bend my right leg enough to squeeze into and drive my car.

    chuckle

    see y'all when I'm healed.

The Morini is in the shop getting a bit of refinement done; it runs like shit at a steady throttle.
KTM needs chain, sprockets, 2x tyres and a service; I think I'll put it on hold for a while.
Hope to be back on board next week.
