    Getting rated 9/10

A few of you know I'm taking salsa classes and there is a big male:female imballance. I walked in on wednesday and saw two pretty, athletic, tall blonde girls looking at me.

"Nine," I heard one whisper in a comment about me as I passed.

Feeling pleased with myself, I swaggered over to a friend and told him a girl had just rated me a nine out of ten.

"I don't want to ruin it for you," he said, "but those two girls are on high school exchange from Germany"

Yeah, see I was brought up in a generation of WWII movies like Das Boot and cartoons where the Germans always died yelling "Nein . . . ", and the Japs died yelling "Aaiiiieeeee . . . "

Had to wonder what Aaiiiieee means in Japanese. Probably something like "Oh Darn", or perhaps "I wonder what I'll have for dinner tonight?"
