Suzuki's do their wheelying and passing at FAR greater speeds than honda's mate.

Where was the HRC day? Mt Wellington?

Oh maybe they should be called "Suzuki GN" days.
Wise person was said Jared Love... HEHEHE

We put it in as a rule for the simple reason that it's a lot easier to say no wheelies rather than wheelies when you think it's safe. How would you determine whether it's safe or not?
In our opinion it just makes it a safer day for all concerned.

Is there a chance of a wheelie session at lunch time or something? It is possible to run two abreast down the front straight as at frostys last track day.
I don't like doing wheelies on the road, and the track by default is the only other safe place.

    1. There is a lot of support for ditching the lunchtime wheelie sessions at Frosty's track days and pushing them to the end of the day.

    2. That's what Stunt/Drag Wars days are for.

Somewhere in the day, Stunt dragwars are all good, but infrequent at best, and when you are on the bike, you are in the zone. Ask the people on the day perhaps?

I have no idea what sort of public liability insurance Frosty has in place but ours is pretty comprehensive due to the variety of events we run. Our premiums are huge and we don't really want them any bigger. If we decide to do something, we will let everyone know at the riders briefing.

OK, just thinking though, the indemnity should cover all that, so any crashes are not your burden, and depending on how any wheelie sessions were run, you could eliminate entirely the possibility of other people being in a position to be injured. EG one at a time down any straight.
That way only people willing to risk it are going to be able top injure themselves, and I would much rather that on a racetrack than any other place. Obviously race days are no good for wheelies, but I feel them to be an important part of a riders skill set

Hey Chris, I might miss the rider's briefing and first session for this day, would this be okay? I will try to make it in time but unfortunately I will only be able to leave Auckland for Taupo very early morning Sunday the 10th.

I really wouldn't like to miss the whole trackday because of this.

May i suggest 20min sessions, as opposed to the 15min ones mentioned in the letter?

Going by the feedback from the MotoTT trackdays, it's a whole lot better having those extra few laps...
