We got burgled tonight! (19 September)

My wife and kids were home, I was at my Mum's. About 8.15pm they/he jimmied open one of the bedroom windows, then went thru the stuff in our bedroom. Took our most valuable watches, and rings, left credit cards and the spare keys to the gixxer!! Left before anyone noticed, which is probably just as well... least nobody hurt

Burglary squad won't be here for a couple of days....guess they're too busy catching speeding bikers...

Never had this happen before so we're a bit upset....

Had shorts on Maori tv , oh sorry Police Ten 7 tonight of cops charging a guy for chasing a crim out of his house with an axe!

Got to love the cops not doing their job in the first place and then charging the vigilantes!

I can imagine Leong, had the same thing happen here 3 years ago, had friends over, on the piss till 3.30am then went to bed, got up the next morning and wallet's/ cell phones/smokes/work bag with qoutes and diary in it...gone, they came into the house while we were asleep, that was the scariest thing, the first 0900 call was made on my phone at 4.10 am, and they continued calling....police didnt turn up till Monday as i recall, nothing could be done, they finger printed, so i feel for ya mate and your family, we know what it's like to have been intruded and it aint a good feeling for a while after.....Mark.

Bugger, that really sucks, it just shows that it isn't going to be taken seriously and a desirable conclusion is never going to manifest.

Words fail me, all I can think is how nice it would be to surprise bastards like that "with a discharging fucking shotgun", both bloody barrels!

Then say hold it right there I am calling the Police!.....for more ammo! John. (Hope your family are not too upset)

Thanks guys! Kids are finally asleep.

Now I'm feeling a bit stink about being away for a couple of nights next week for the trackday in Taupo...

Damn Leong, glad your family are ok and nothing else was taken. Property is easy to replace, feeling safe in your own home isn't. Best of luck with everything.

That's shocking Leong, I feel for you and your family. What a shame the police are too busy to come immediately, such horrible events can cause serious problems for the victims. I hope you have plenty of good people around you at this time.

What a wonderful world . I sincerely hope the vermin who violated your home dig a pit for themselves and fall into it!

When someting like this happened to us a few years ago, the scene of crime officer told us to make visible changes to our security. Perhaps fit some window stays on the windows and patio bolts on ranchsliders.

Very scarey feeling for sure to know that someone has been in your home..

I hope the secure, safe feeling returns to your home very quickly.
