    Crowded in the Naki

Monday arvo I had the (ahem) "pleasure" of driving from New Plymouth airport to Hawera.
70Km, six cops on the highway and 3 more in towns! Damned-near wore the Escort out...

But, a laugh, albeit a sick one; guy in front of me, might have been over 110, but certainly not over 112, gets zapped. Cop pulls a u-turn, lights on and tails the dude. Dude obviously figures the cop isn't after him, coz he didn't stop for several km. Then, when he did stop, he did so where there was no shoulder, near the top of a rise, and yellow lines on the centre. And does the cop tell this guy to move on to somewhere safer?? Hell, no! Fuggin dickhead.

It must be all those long, straight (dangerous ) roads...

    Sounds like a target-rich environment...

Yip I know all about what you mean.

I learn the hard way after two tickets in two trips when I first moved here at the beginning of the year.

yea its pretty hard out down here - just pick your roads well (if your after a 'fun' ride) i like the upper end of carrington road - in a lot of parts you would be hard pressed to break the speed limit! heaps of fun twisty bits just watch out for that damn first bridge going north - dont take it too wide or there will be . Oh and NO cops - im guessin there will be from now on tho
