How do you spell ‘motorcycle'? Don’t ask the US Postal Service

The US Postal Service recently issued a new set of stamps depicting motorcycles. As is normal practice, collectors can purchase First Day Issue sets, with a special commemorative postmark.

Unfortunately, the postmark is spelt ‘motorcyle’.

The Postal Service has advised that all new orders will have a corrected postmark… unless they would like the incorrect spelling, in which case they simply have to include a note with their order asking for the incorrect version.

hehe, yeah, the "limited" edition incorrect spelling stamps might be worth some money in 50 years or so.... good laugh.

I blame it all on the txting........

Hehe, seems to be a recurring theme over at a RC forum I visit regarding their treatment of fragile goods (read: RC airplanes, parts etc...)

that's the one of the FEW things I like about NZ at the moment - the reasonably decent postal system we have here...
