    Hi all (-df-)

I'm new here and thought I'd introduce myself.

I own a 1995 YZF600R (the older twin teardrop lights version) and just getting back into biking so I can handle a tour around europe in a couple of years on a motorbike (always wanted to do that). Even got the misses learning to ride so she can come.

Looking at getting a ZX7R or Fireblade shortly as I need a little more omph (being a big fella) but thought I should start off on a 600 as it had been a long time since riding (was only 250's at that point).

    Just thought's I'd say hi.

    Welcome to KB.

Touring Europe? Big project. Looking forward to the photos already.

I've lost 5kg since taking up riding - it takes a bit more effort than driving and has caused me to get a wee bit fitter. Might work for you too so you'll be able to save money and stick to the 600?

    All the best.

    Gudday -df-! Welcome to KB.
A European tour sounds rather pleasant.

    Welcome to the madness
Yeah thats my bike (same photo in my aviatar). Chucked it up there to see if there's any interest. Got my eye on the red ZX7R on trademe at the moment (my dream bike), although I was a little disapointed in the performance of the bike...almost seemed like mine has more power up top (prev owner had it dyno'd at 82bhp at the rear wheel), although the mid range (where I spend most of my time) is better...plus its my dream bike (did I mention that already??)

    Cheers for the welcome guys.
