Cool Responsible 250cc ride (23 or 24 September)

    Hi guys,
Here is the next ride I am running aimed at mainly 250cc bikes (but all cc welcome) for newer/beginner riders.
As with all the rides I run it is about a nice responsible day out for newer riders to gain confidence with their bikes and enjoy socializing with other KB members. It is not a race.

This event will be held on the weekend of the 23rd/24th of september. (one day)

Due to the current fears of some KB members, as to if these message boards are being monitored by the Police to "bust riders", The date, time, and meeting place will be disclosed by PM to any genuine rider who is known to myself or McJim at this point for now at least.
Further details will be forthcoming via PM shortly.

The ride will be around 280Km with stops for lunch and leg stretching, head counts and ciggis (if applicable),
start point will be central/eastish meeting around 10am
    return time estimated around 3 - 4pm.

Stay safe, hope to see you all there,

    Mav

(Proudly bought to you by Mav's Weather Geanie TM)

    Update 21/9/06,
Weather looking good sofar, Just letting you know I might be a little late arriving on sunday morning as I might be meeting a new member who doesnt know the way, so by the time we get out west we maybe be a few minutes late, shouldnt take too long though.

Dont forget PM if you have any queries or problems, check your invitations if you have forgotton the day/time/place etc.

And what pray tell, does the esteemed weather genie (tm) have to say about the hallowed weekend?

Er...the eh Hallowed one? The weekend wot gets the pagan worship and all? The weekend of the ride dude. I'm trying to perpetuate the myth of the weather genie - don't want anyone to know you just look at the Met Service website and guess ....did I just type that out loud? Ooops!

I have "Started" on sending out invites, there are quite a few being sent and you can only send 5 PM's at a time, so may take a while, Please reply to the invite and tell us if you plan on attending or not so we can get an idea on numbers,

    Cheers

    Just FYI,

Honda Riders Club are doing a ride to Kaiaua then back via Hunua starting 11.45am 23 September from Botany Honda. Probably best NOT to be going in the opposite direction.....

(EDIT: I see this was posted in a different thread!)

Cheers for the Heads up, we will be going in the opposite direction (as in different area, not same place different side of the road).

Edit, not the same day anyway.... or is it?

Dude, I dont think there is anything "funny" about trying to create a safe and experience building environment for new riders.

So, keen for the CoroGP? Last one to Whitianga from Coro town pays for gas.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
