There's a club day Sunday so come out and have a look, quite often there will be bikes for sale, what kind of bike or class are you looking at racing in?
The majority of the Chch KB crew race mostly Buckets and Pre82 but there's a the odd one in F3,StreetStock,Sidecars etc

after looking at pics of the Buckets- they look like fun so will have to give it a go.
