    Introducing bounce

Hey guys. Cool site. Have just got my first motorbike - Honda VTR250. Actually had a good read of the opinions here before buying - word was that they are a good first bike as well as having enough power to be a bit of fun; so far no dissapointments so cheers for that.

Work in Wgtn city so the free parking is a bonus eh.

Bike is up to 20,000K's and apparently has been serviced. Let me know if there is anything in particular that I should do to it service wise - otherwise I'll just work my way through some of the threads here on the do';s and don'ts etc.

    Cheers, see you around.
    Ben

Yup thats it. '98 vintage. Wake the dead eh? Tell me more... Exhaust mods you mean? What can be done, replace whole system or just fit a new muffler?

Yeah It's got enough pace for me at the moment - I;m still working out how far I can drop it into the corners etc. Few bends coming back up Brooklyn hill that are good seal..

Haha I;m still brandishing my "L" plate so best not seen on open roads yet Cheers.

Indeed they are! Pirelli demons from memory.. Says 42psi cold on the side wall. Best to stick to this? bike only had around 30psi when I got it and I havn't upped it from that yet. Should probably have a read through the forums, bound to be a post on tyre preassures somewhere..

Cheers for the welcome guys. I havn't ridden much distances yet, still pretty tense on the bike so get sore wrists and back after a while, the 1-Oct might be a bit ambitious this early. Haha either that or maybe I;'ve got clutch and brakes set up for someone of a different height.

They'll be Sport Demons. I put a pair on my bike once the original tyres wore out - transformed it. Far more confident in corners. Think that may be the Max tyre pressure on the sidewall...Can't remember what I used, but it wasn't far from the manufacturers recommendation.

That tensing and sore wrists will pass with time and more miles. I had the same too.

Nice bike - I've got one myself - use it to get to and from work through the week and for chasing Gixxers on Thursday nights. I still wear the L plate but ride sensibly near police!

Good allrounder - mine was red and is now black - see profile pic. Haven't done any mods coz I'll prob only have it for another 5 months or so.

Welcome to KB - get a mentor - better than trying to teach yourself.
