They are fine, of course! But that was an education! I now know how far over I can lean my bike - not that I'm sure I want to repeat the process.

I knew I was too fast, so dropped it down a gear, then another, leaning more and more. I really thought I was going to bin. I buttoned off on the throttle and still the bloody thing kept going faster - well, that's how it seemed to me. The only gear left was first, and the back wheel locks up at that kinda speed. The only option I had was to lean more and focus on where I wanted to go!

Still, with superhuamn skill, I stayed upright and got through it. It kinda knocked my confidence tho, so I am off to ride HW50 as soon as time allows - familiar roads and all that.
Felt sorry for poor old Mstrs and Wasp27 watching it all unfold in front of them, it didn't feel pretty, so it must have looked bloody awful!

    Hi Yungatart

We will be doing quite a bit of riding over the next few weeks, so if you want to join in just holler.
Thats if the boys wanna go one way and faster, our rides are a little more sedate, but we can have just as much fun

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yep we are riding quite a bit on the weekends.

We did the loop on Sunday
Tukituki Road, down to Pateonga, Waipawa and then over to SH50 and home
    A good ride.

She would of come out last night except we had a couple of visitors arrving so she had to meet them

She will make a few Weds night rides, hopefully from next week

Good Girl . You keep that up and you'll be getting your money's worth for those tyres. They might end up round again too.

Hey, girl, if they can cope with me, trust me, they can cope with you! You come with us or PM one of the guys to mentor you first , if you must. It would be really nice to have another less experienced, less testosterone filled rider along.
Or, I will be joining Zukin and Mrs Zukin for a slower ride, perhaps more suited to me... I'm sure Zukin won't mind if you come along too.. we can start a new Mid week ride - albeit a slow one.
Look forward to meeting you... soon!

Stop the "splitting" the group talk thank you very much. It works well as it is. Just make sure the group leader, leads, at a pace that suits.
Just come along Mrs Zukin. We are a friendly lot.

Yep, friendly they (we) are.. even if they laugh at (with) me sometimes... MY BAD, I'll just go and sit in the corner and admire my fast disappearing chicken strips, shall I, Steve?
Mrs Z.. they are a really great bunch of guys to ride with, very supportive and happy to help, but we kinda have a reverse harem going on here - I don't mind sharing all these blokes with you!

I was referring to rides other than the Weds night ride
    Weekends etc

I am happy to have less experienced riders with me (after all I havent been riding for that long either)
Its not about the quantity, its tha quality

But in saying that the Weds night rides are bloody good, there is no expectations from any of the riders, so Alice you will not be a hazard, more of a assistance to some of us

    Cheers

Hi Zukin.......lots of stress during the week coupled with long hours and shitty hot weather made me a bit snappy. I meant no offence. See you at this weeks ride.

Your chicken strips are lovely Tart. I am sure MSTRS is happy for them to stay. I will have a ride over a road I have in mind and report back. Get out from behind the computer and burn some fuel. That's what it was made for...........Later.................
