Yeah - comparison is based on what's available new - the GPX is 138kg Dry weight and the VTR is 140kg - course with the Kwak you get a full fairing and it's $1,000 cheaper - swings and roundabouts really - Personally I like the sound of the VTR and the torque coupled with the low weight means it punches above it's weight from a standing start. I've also put a little Givi fairing on the bike which makes a difference (for me) of about 10kph at the top end.

So is this new Yamaha a 250 or a 225? there seems to be a wee bit of conflict of opinion about that.

There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there? -Clerks

I think i'll choose the Suzuki Satria (In the philipines knowen as "Raider") F150

As it is around $500AUD cheaper than the Scorpio-Z and it has:

    A twin-cam 4-stroke engine (DOHC)

    Dry Weight: 95kg

    Horse Power: 16bhp

    Tourqe: 1.22 KGF.M

    Brakes: Disc front and back

    Cooling: Oil cooled

Top speed: Easily over 130kph many reports of the top speed being 140kph (On the flat straight) and some saying with minor modifications it can reach around 160-168kph

    Suspension: Monoshock

Digital Speedo and a masive RPM meter

You can find pics at http://www.bikepics.com/suzuki/raider150/

New price over there is probally under $2,400AUD

Start a petition to suzuki to import some:P
