That place ain't cheap thats for sure...

Last time we went there I asked for a redbull, pulled out $3 in coins expecting it to be more expensive in such a place... then she tells me its $5 for one can Nice people though.

Hah yeah I just wasn't too sure how spirited to get with the riding. Sorta tried to keep it somewhere between a Sunday drive and a full blown Coro Loop. Couldn't have yer yawning all the way around yet I didn't want to beat you up and put you off KB rides and bikes forever either.

Even though he's a mate of mine, I can't help but be impressed with Blairos (blue VTR 250). Six months ago he had never even sat on a bike and I am sure that those who attended yesterday can attest to his polished performance and good road riding skill. It even puts us old fellas to shame a bit.

Blairos and I were trialling a well priced Bike to Bike communication as well. Its the old style Pinfold system that he is flogging on Tardme fo $20. We had a couple of UHF sets we got cheap from Jaycar and, apart from the first set of batteries being a bit cheap and not lasting, it worked a treat even with ear plugs in. We were still getting excellent communication up to 120 KPH (oops) and the range was fine for a normal group ride. We intend to use the system between 3 bikes on a south Island trip we are planning in Feb next year. $63 sees each individual setup with helmet speakers, microphone and push to talk button and a radio. A good deal I reckon
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

I didn't get the chance to really hear what he had to say - I was too busy trying to get my earplug out of my fairings with a stick whilst he was yapping away. Must've come across as being really rude haha.

But from what I heard from others he sounds like an alright guy.

He flashed his lights at me when I went zooming past in the dome instead of writing out a ticket, I'd say he was a bloody good copper! The kind we need more of....... (Too many speed NAZIS out there)

He did the standard road safety delivery. Thats what they pay him to do. He then showed a human side and offered some realistic advice on how to avoid getting nicked for speeding. He also flashed his lights at me to slow down from XXX Km's through the dome valley. We need more like him. Not for letting us get away with it, but for understanding what we do a bit more.
