I've had some look around for plans and I've found that Orcon has bloody good plans as well. It all depends on what you need but if you want uncapped upload speed you might find Orcon plans that suit better.
I have deep pockets. It's just that it's a deep empty pocket...........
motor, you mean the generally worser quality?

Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers

I'm with actirx and our plan was 3.5/128 with a daily 1gb limit for $79.95 which was good because if i went over the limit it was backup to speed the next day but now the plan is max/128 still with the 1gb daily limit for the same price, as much as i hate telecom/xtra i'd rather be paying $30 less with no limit
Orcons new plans suck nuts!
I'd be going from 256k/128 and 40gb cap to max/128k and 20gb cap.. And tahts after theyve already nerfed me down to 40gb from uncapped. Their new offer is _worse_ than xtra, who have a 21gb (30*700mb) during peak hours, and no cap whatsoever during offpeak hours. Even restricting my p2p traffic to 16 hours a day, with uncapped download speeds I'm still going to be pulling in 100's of gb a month.
.
I'm on that plan. On this page:
http://www.orcon.net.nz/orcon_blog/o...uild_your_own/
it says existing customers won't be changed over to the new plans.
The nearest new plan for me (if I want to avoid the "traffic management" on the zero shock plan) would be the surfer (without tolls) and the 30GB cap.
But that would put my cap 10GB less than it currently is and make the monthly charge $10 more than currently!!!
Bloody ridiculous. Back in the good old days, before they unbundled things, my plan had no cap, had the same speeds (256kbps/128kbps) and was $10/month cheaper than currently if I remember correctly.
i need to move into town for Telstra and get some 10mb/4mb i think it is. Not in our areaSlingshot had some good plans at one stage.
Those who dont learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.
it's not the caps we should be worried about, its the fact our exchanges wont be able to cope with the max speeds they claim to offer.
max speed for everyone = back to 256k type speeds! haha
i struggle to get above 512k speeds at peak times now, let alone unraveling everyone now!
bollocks to telecom!
