    Yoshi MJN jet kit

When I purchased my bike second hand (96 gxsr 750) I got quite a few spares because it was an ex race bike. It was fitted with a standard carb for the road but I've also got a Yohshi MJN fitted carb from when it was raced. These are really unusual kits where the needle is hollow and perforated with holes and the fuel flows through the holes with more holes being exposed when the needle pulls out further. I put the yoshi carb on today to try it and did seem to improve the overall power particularly the higher mid range but I found that it would sometimes stutter a bit at high revs - particularly it the throttle was opened too quick but also when going over a particularly rough bit of road on at least one occasion. Is anyone familar with the mjn kit who could offer advice.

I think I need to lean the main jet out a bit. Are main jets interchangable. (I've got some dynojet ones and some oem ones) or do I need to find a yoshimura set.
