is that a really long swing arm or does the seat just make it look that way?

Yeah I thought I was just confused when I saw the chain... is that the longest chain on a non drag bike I have seen??

Triangle looks like an exhaust pipe, and chain length is probably deceptive from photo angle as I can't imagine the wheelbase is excessive.

Thanks, so how did you manage to get the photos in your thread like that? Thought that was removed because some people on dial up complained that threads took too long to open??
Anyway, some cool ideas there from Honda, looks like the underseat exhaust will be gone burger, so old fashioned. The rear numbers on the hugger, looks good. You can see the fuel tank under the seat, and the low twin exhaust outlets, copying Buell there are they?

    /QUOTE]

    Long swingarms promote traction.

And yeah, the tail section is short and accentuates it!

Despite the fact that Ducati came out swinging and went under the Bruno lap record with Cap on board, don't think for a minute that Honda won't be ahead of the pack....they were after all...the ones that wanted to go to 800cc.

Just like they were the ones that wanted to go 4 Stroke in the first place.

    I wouldn't mind betting that 990cc - 1 Cyl = 800cc.

V five with one cyl lopped off????

Also....check the size of Haydens rear disc compared to Pedrosas.

    Flat track anyone?

looks like carbon brakes up front, stopping power good enough to remove your eye balls from their sockets. Not sure about the short rear faring but its probably more aerodynamic.
Looks like the tank is under the seat to allow the engine to be moved forward, it might be to get a better centre of gravity and keep the weight over the middle of the bike.
These are just my theories, feel free to haggle.

Less! The air will break away from the bike in a very turbulent fashion and very close to the bike.
