Unhappy GPX250 - Where does this hose go???

    hey people..
been helping my mate work on his gpx250. he bought it a month ago and it hadent been started for about 5-6 years...... at all. so after alot of tinkering and finding some parts, tried to start her up tonight, but she wouldnt fire. i'm no expert but i think it might have been too rich.
abyaway, there is a transparent hose which comes out towards the rear, right inbetween the two carbs. where the hell does the other end hook up to???? when everything else is hooked up, and fuel tap is in ON position, fuel starts dripping from that hose. im guessing she wont fire beacuse that hose is not where its supposed to go.
also i have checked and there is a spark in both cylinders, but when turning over w/o the plugs it spits out a fair amount of fuel from the cylinder.

    any help would be appreciated.

Here's the fuel system part from the supplimentary manual, maybe it'll help.

Sounds like your carburettors are overflowing.

That hose is likely to be a floatbowl overflow. Sounds to me like the floats are not sealing off the incoming fuel. After sitting for that length of time, there will be some corrosion inside the carbs that will have to be removed
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
