Hey, yeah it was a fun day, had a few problems with my bike but I think I will have sorted most of them out pretty soon.

    Some of the problems were:

    -Leaking oil
-Bouncing and sliding when pushing hard
-Pulling to one side under brakes
    -Flexible forks

Well I pulled off the flywheel cover tonight in my lovely tidy workshop which took me three consecutive days to tidy and then the flywheel (which is tricky to remove without a puller) and the stator and found that a bit of the o-ring had broken off when fitting the stator cover last time, so I put a new o-ring in which I had in stock, but I'm unsure if it will work properly as it's one you use on the fuel system of a JT8D Turbofan engine.

The bouncing and sliding is due to the rear shocks having no dampening I found out so I'll replace them, you can get them cheap! from budget motorcycle spares so I'll grab some of those.

Pulled the forks out and I found that they were bent, must have been from one of my many accidents on the CG crash test bike, I suspect that it must have been that highside on the hills many moons ago.

I'll make up a fork-brace to deal with those flexible forks and she'll be a goldie I reckon.

Racing was good, learnt a bit from that dude who does the teaching of the young fullas, stacked the CG around the dipper on the practice in front of Rashika and somebody else, remember pushing hard, then sliding and down I go seeing sparks, then watching Rashika and somebody else swerve out of the way to avoid me. I picked up the bike and got off the track with twisted as forks, untwisted them a bit in the pits as best as I could and then untwisted them more later by loosening the trippleclamps.

Gathered a bit more confidence during the day, was having fun playing with my mate ben number 69, he's actually joined up here but he's not the computer type so I don't think he has many posts if any, his login is flying_coconut anyway. But in any case his MB100 seems a bit lethargic, so he's gonna give it a rebuild as my CG was smoking him.

I reckon the full tracks a bit too big for the buckets, they struggle a bit around it, being pretty underpowered, but the motorcycling canterbury events seem a bit better run that the bears ones. Got my classic 80's 2 stroke going so I'll be able to bring that out next time which will be good!

It was good afterwards with the beer and bbq, I enjoyed having a chat to some of the other racers, but all in all a great day!

I had a VFR700 that did that. I asked on a VFR forum and a guy who was an 'engineer' said with great authority that one of the front brake calipers had seized! So how do bikes with only one disc get on??

Turned out to be a bent fork- have a look and see if they are straight. And get some decent shocks!

Yep, they're definatly bent, ones bent heaps and the other is only bent a little bit, also I'm gonna get some new shocks too before the next race.

Thats exactly what my VFR was like. Duane at Duanes Bikes and Skis straightened them. He was able to get them perfectly straight and he didn't charge much at all.
