i wore out 2nd gear but slamming it in to gear at high revs, plus my bike is up to 60,000km and was raced before i got it so its had a hard life.

Was originally only supposed to be a week or two in the shop. Unfortunately when it was getting put back together the mechanic noticed he'd not seen a bit that had broken off the gear selector shaft. Honest mistake, but two weeks ex-japan didnt make me happy when it *could have* been noticed when he took it apart and examined it.

All good though, i'll have a fresh gearbox, and some extra power to play with aswell because he's also replaced the warn jets in my carbs so now the mixture wont stuff up at top end and it'll clear up the rough spot i had down low too. I've made plans to make it down though so if i get it back i'll be there for sure!

Thanks would love to but I think it'd be a good idea if I leave my butt off the seat till tomorrow, that way I hopefully won't be too sore after track day (most likely just wishfull thinking ^_^)

If you leave your butt off the seat while riding it wont get sore....only your legs will feel it for a few days.

got my bike back and it feels lots different. Unfortunately gotta spend the next few hundred km's wearing the gearbox in, so wont be trying to set any lap records but i'm sure i'll still get to have a tussle with a few of you in the medium group!
