enduro/ dual purpose, there are lots on trademe, not many under 250cc tho, stick with a gpx and get a purpose built trail bike, rather than one that does a half arse job of each, and stop thrashing your gpx, you will kill it eventually

I decided 6months was to long to wait on my zxr250, which is way better than the gpx. So I went out and brought a gsxr600 k5 a yoshi and some ohlins.

mmmmmm that sounds good... but adiddy, if your just working part time and not making a hell of a lot of money then you might as well keep your bike and save for a better one when you get your full. likewise, if youve got the money the go for it!

holy crap...thats quite the upgrade!! I thought you were destined to spend the rest of your life on a 2-fiddy. Respect on the upgrade though, gorgeous bike that must be.

Is suzuki the best of the sixes is it??

    dont bother

as the saying goes...just buy a 400 and dont get caught!
ha ha...i did that a few times, but i must say, the GPX goes ok..and the one i rode was mark auckland/SkidMark's old one
zero index can also testify..get some good exp on it..sounds like your on the right track with having a dirt and road bike though...
Any 250 wont be too fast, the CBR/ZXR-s out there are fast. but almost 15-18 years old now, and way overpriced.
for the price of a 94 CBR with 15,000~km on it you could get a new GS500 or similar...or better, a new GT 250R, which look better than the 90's styling of the areformention 250-4s.
i have seen a GT 250 R with a gutted pipe, and raised rear end, very sexxxy.
The CBR/ZXR market is a bit risky now...i wouldn't touch it.

What is a GPX250? i'd get a VTR250. V-Twin engine is beautiful, fairly fast, decent acceleration. looks like ducati monster. I reckon you could tour on a good one of these.

Nah - adiddy has seen me ride on one of those so he thinks they're really slow. they're bloddy expensive too - even a banged up one will still fetch $5,000.

How much work do you think your GPX will need to keep it on the road for another year? Have you considered getting a brand new GPX?

Why not go to Mount Eden and test ride a GT250R and a GPX - both might surprise you.

Get a smoker mate. RG or KRR, decently quick and go for chips compared to the 4 strokes.
