Manfeild open for bikes on Sunday the 4th!

As we all took a stand and moaned about the cancellation of public open days at Manfeild, they've made provisions for bikes to enter the Club sprint days!

    Awesome stuff!

This is the e-mail I just received from them. I'm going to stop in on my way back from Auckland Sunday.

    Hi there,
Just to let you know that this weekend we are running an Open Clubsport Day.

It will be run similar to the Public Open Days that we used to have, and there will be a provision for motorcycles.

The day will run from 11am till 4pm. Cost is $40 and for more info you can check out the website, as we posted new information today.

We will just get you to fill in an entry form, similar to a car one on the day.

If you can make it that would be great, as if it is succesful we might look at carrying them on for future Open Clubsport Days.
Hope you can make it, see you at Manfeild.

    Kind regards

    That's the spirit!

Bear in mind, if we don't support it, we wont be invited again........

Two track days in a weekend sounds bloody marvelous to me.

    Clubdays? how are they run?

    How are club day run?

Do we line up on the grid and a flag is dropped?

Reason i ask is that my insurance will cover "open days" but not races of course, they state a race as having grid positions, timing etc..

I have been to test days where you are free to do what you want, to start from the pits, which in no way could be classed as a "race"

    Any info?

Wkid- Shame, if only there was someone locally who keeps a spare bike, oh I don't know, say a Duke Monster for example in her gargre.
Whitetrash & Deano - great to hear you Guys will still try and make it with all those miles to do in one weekend. Its short notice but Dion and I are keen to try and get there and pass the word along. Like Deano said, WE NEED A SHOW OF BIKE SUPPORT TO MANFEILD - USE IT OR LOSE IT.

Hi Mark - if I can think of anyone who fits the above criteria will let you know.

We might call in - will probably be heading to Taranaki for the w/end.

Hey WK I'd let you take mine around but I'm not sure on what needs to be done to it to let it on the track ??.....It has a current warrant but not rego'd....and it has all the indicators and such on ........I'm going over for a look but not to ride round the track ...but if you think the old beast would do ya you're most welcome ... She needs a good old tune and has just the bridgestones she came with but she'll go when you ask and is better than nothing at all.....
    Let me know .....
