But to those who run tyre warmers etc, you will need to take a generator as there is no power (well there wasnt last time i was there).

    Bump...

I'm heading off in the morning so see all you guys at the track.

There are some really big grids this round - over 170 individual riders. So if you're running near the back, you may have to qualify

We got catering vans and a PA sorted to look after the spectators and pit crews.

There's the prizegiving afterward at The Shed - All riders and crew welcome, and I'm pretty sure that will extend into a night of general revellry.

And if you're not nursing too big a hangover the next day, there's the Sidecar have a go day.

Looking like its going to be a good weekend.......

Woohoo, got my bike all set. Just put my 'V.M.C.C assigned' numbers on today, im #211 (the cbr600 in clubmans B, not the rg150 in streetstock, or the zxr400 in superlite, which are also #211) I just need to whip off the sidestand once we get there, already disabled the stand switch. Forecast looks good "Mainly fine, gusty westerlies"

I am abit curious about these "transponders" though. Ive never seen one, i assume they are small enough, but how are they attached? and do they hand them out at the sign on?

They are a bit smaller than a packet of smokes.
they hand them out at sign on, are attached with the plactic cable ties they give you. Most people put them on the fork leg inside the flareings. just make sure you can turn the bars from lock to lock without the transponder hitting anything. if you damage them you pay for them.

    Have a good one!
    sorry I can't be there.

Good luck to the lads in 'streetstock'. It's gunna be a good day!
Vtec, your so far ahead in points, it would be nice if you 'took out' Russel and Tim for me in the first race. that way I might holds my 6th place. Good on ya Mate.

2/3rds of Team Piston Broke Racing will be leaving the Hutt about 1.30pm, complete with fan club.

Is there really no power at the track ? My battery was dying in the last race of the last round, hence being pipped at the line by one of those pesky SV's.

Yeap there really is no power. Heres a couple of pics of the pit area(white concrete strip), and the pit garages which are under construction still. The workers are using a big generator themselves. The paved pit area is the whole length of pit lane but with 170 entered riders there will be limited pit space, so if your planing on bringing the whole workshop, bring the compact version, However the car park behind the garages is huge.
