    FXR Valve adjustment help

Hi yall - my wee FXR 150 just clicked over 35thou kms and its getting a bit noisy in the top end, with an unknown service history. Before I go pulling things apart does anyone have the valve clearances ( im just assuming they're adjustable ) or any other helpful info - thanx in advance. Has anyone managed to find a workshop manual for these things yet ??

    Tappet clearences when cold

    Inlet 0.01-0.037mm

    Exhaust 0.030-0.057mm

    Tappets are set by shims

I checked my valve clearances recently (they were fine).

    2nd what stanko wrote.

Valve clearance figures in the other measurement system are (same as a SV650):
    Inlet: 0.10 to 0.20
    Outlet: 0.20 to 0.30

If they do require adjustment, you'll also require one of those cam chain key tools to remove the cam chain tension, because the cam chain needs to be dropped in order to remove the cam shafts so the shims can be replaced. Not sure how much that key costs.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

cheers dude but the bike was potentially written off on Saturdy thanks to a old corolla. Insurance assesor checkin it out today - no need to adjust valves me thinks.
