Sandblaster building.

Hi all,
I hope there is someone that can help my with my small dilemma...

In the last few months I have started doing my own paint work and is always looking for new tools and projects to take on. At the moment I am busy building a small sand-blaster to sand of paint/rust. I have found a very simple and easy plan to build one...

All of the welding has been done and now I am just looking for nozzles? I have asked plenty of engineering shops and none of them could really. At least I have found a supplier of abrasive materials and is very thankful for it. (Thanks CADanimal)

If anyone could help me with a nozzle supplier I would be really thankful.

It may not be worth building one - the sandblaster alone is $44.
Sandblasters need LOTS of air, like generally a minimum of 5hp/ 20cfm to work effectively. Make sure your blasting media is clean and dry. Use a dust mask - silicosis is not fun.

Try Engineering Supplies Ltd in Sydney St Petone. They usually have a few ceramic nozzles hanging around. They sell various types of Sandblasting gear too, and have Glass Bead at a good price.

Mate I really wouldnt bother--not being disparaging --buy a MINI bead blaster from any air tools supplier for around $40

Thanks for the link to the shop with the nozzles... It's actually a very helpful site. They have a lot of tools for metal working. They also have a few tube benders that I was looking for...
