    Oh Fuck!

Long story short I need to get hold of the nut that holds the drive sprocket on to the drive shaft...

Bike is a 1999 Yamaha R6 (1999-2002 model). Can supply a pic of said shaft etc if you think that would help for somer reason.

Where can i go on a Sunday to get hold of one of these. I know Cycletreads will be open so i'm gonna give them a call in the morning. But as the bike shops are closed i cant get a part number or description (will look in the shop manual soon to see what it says).

Im not sure why it's come loose, but it's taken it's time doing it. The chain/sprocket combo has been on the bike for nearly 15,000km now, so im not going to lay any blame other than 'shit happens', luckily i noticed the plate that goes behind the nut sitting in the belly pan or it could have been a sadder story.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
